It is with great sadness that the family of Wilfrid Arsène Douville announces his sudden passing due to complications after a fall.
Wilfrid was predeceased by his daughter Agnès Roy; grandson Joe Giammarella; step granddaughter Anne-Renée Gélinas-Henry; the mother of his children, Yvonne Douville(née Denniel); dear friend and companion, Agathe Cyrenne; 10 brothers and 4 sisters.
He is survived by his children, Adèle (Remo) DiPietro, Edmond (Annette) Douville, Jocelyne Douville, 5 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 6 great grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren, 2 step great-great grandchildren, brother Antoine (Betty) Douville, 2 sisters-in-law (Alice Valcourt), (Rose Douville) and numerous nephews and nieces. The memorial service was held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 19, 2017 from Notre Dame d’ Auvergne Roman Catholic Church in Ponteix, SK with Father Guy Amedee Ainemon officiating. The Interment took place at Ponteix Parish Cemetery. For those wishing to make donations in Wilfrid’s name may do so to the charity of the donor’s choice or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
