Wei Ting Wong

Obituary We announce with sadness the passing on October 3, 2010, of Mrs. Wei Ting Wong at the age of 80 years. Born in Toi Shan, China, Mrs. Wong was a longtime resident of Yellowknife, NWT, and Edmonton, Alberta. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Newton Sun Chong; sons, Ron (Lita) and Gordon (Roselle); daughter, Shirley; grandchildren, Melanie and Andrew; brothers, Cheuk Ping Mar, Cheuk Ning Mar, and Cheuk Wing Mar; step-mother, Suey Fong Mar; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, October 12 at the Wild Rose Chapel, Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton. Interment will follow at Beechmount Cemetery, 12420 – 104 Street, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chinatown Multi-Level Care Foundation, 9525 – 102A Avenue, Edmonton, T5H 0G2, or the Parkinson’s Society of Alberta, Room 3Y18, Edmonton General, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, T5K 0L4.
