Passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 after a brief illness in his 68th year. Partner and best friend of Joanne. Father of Tammy Michaud (Christopher) and John Gibson (Joanne). Stepfather of Denise McCormick (Terry) and Stephanie Masciotra (Michael David). Grandpa to four granddaughters and six step grandchildren. Great-grandpa to one great-grandson and five step great-grandchildren. Loving brother to Bruce (Annette). He will also be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Bob and Bernice Gibson.
Wayne was a dedicated truck driver for Flanagan Food Services from which he recently retired. Wayne was also an avid horseshoe player.
Wayne’s family will receive relatives and friends from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. & 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 1 p.m.
Thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s and Grand River Hospitals ICU for the care provided and a special thank you to Dr. Nikoo.
Private interment at a later date.
