Veronica M. Bourque
Veronica M. Bourque, 95, of Fredericton and
formerly of Chateau Mapleton, Mapleton Road, Moncton, passed away
peacefully with family by her side at Frederick Hall on December 29,
2016.
Born in St. Stephen on October 19, 1921, she was the daughter
of the late Victor and Margaret (Conway) Coyne.
Veronica was a former Registered Nurse with the Moncton Chest
Clinic. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School
of Nursing, Saint John and attended St. Augustine’s Roman
Catholic Church.
Veronica enjoyed her weekly bridge club games at her home on
Edgett Avenue in Moncton. She was also very active at Chateau Mapleton
playing crib, 45’s and participating in various social events. She
especially enjoyed reading, watching golf and above all, spending time
with her family.
Veronica will be sadly missed by her sons, Patrick
(Catherine) of Fredericton and Kevin (Carolyn) of Bruno, Saskatchewan,
grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan, Jennifer, Sarah, Emily, Tessa, Garrett
and Michelle and by several nieces and nephews. She was the last
surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
husband, Edgar J. Bourque (July 2009); sisters, Mary and Helen;
brothers, James, Francis, Philip, Jack, Louis, Frederick and Fr.
Patrick.
There will be no visitation by request. Funeral Mass will be
held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 340 Dominion
St., on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Allison Carroll
officiating. Reception following the Mass in the Church Hall.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
