Obituary for Velva May Driscoll (Sally)
Passed peacefully on October 5 2017, age 93, in the care of the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Dearly loved wife of Floyd Driscoll (predeceased) and mother of Larry Driscoll. Grandmother of Chelsea Goodwin (Roy) and Jessica Driscoll. Great-Grandmother of Andrew and Xander Goodwin. Sister of Edward Sally and Norma Larock. Predeceased by sisters Edith McGlashan and Fern Couvrette and by her parents Percy Sally and Lillie (McCook). Eldest caring sister of the Sally family, lover of dance, song, and nature. Longtime public servant with CRA.
Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave. (at Richmond Rd.), Ottawa on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 1 – 2p.m. A Celebration of Aunt Velva’s life will be held in the Chapel at 2p.m. Many thanks to the staff at QCH and Barrhaven Manor for providing care in her final years.
