Thomas (Newf) Byrne
1946-2016
Thomas (Newf) George Byrne, 70, of Petitcodiac
passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Moncton
Hospital.
Born in Botwood, NL, he was the son of the late
Thomas and Bridget (Beaton) Byrne. Thomas was a truck driver
for Armour Transportation. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and he was a
member of the dart league and he considered everyone he met to be a
friend.
He is survived and sadly missed by his wife of 43
years Karen (Trites); daughter Kimberly Byrne, Petitcodiac; son
Christopher (Tara), Nixon; grandchildren Courtney MacDonald, Megan
MacDonald, Brady Byrne and Brooklyn Byrne; son-in-law Randy MacDonald;
sisters Patricia Pinsent, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Lucy Kelly,
Botwood, NL; brothers Desmond Byrne (June), Botwood, NL; mother-in-law
Irma Trites (late Reg), Moncton; a close nephew Pat Dwyer and several
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Francis Dwyer, June Byrne,
Mary O’Quinn and Dorothy McLaughlin; brother Joe, two infant brothers
and step-father Clarence Sacrey.
Resting at Armstrong’s Funeral Chapel, 33 Russell
Street (756-3361) with visiting Tuesday, November 29, 6 to 9 pm. The
funeral will be held at the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350
Salisbury Road Wednesday, November 30 at 10:30 am with Father Phil
Mulligan officiating.
If desired, memorials to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation or Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the
family.
