Thèrese Diane Richard – December 30, 1964 – April 13, 2017: The Richard family is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of their beloved daughter, sister and aunt, Thèrese. Thèrese recently moved home to Dieppe to be closer to her family after spending 31 years living alone in Sussex. A proud employee of St. Pat’s Family Centre, Thèrese was known for her cheerful disposition. She enjoyed singing in the choir equally as much as her frequent visits to Caissie Cape where she could spend all day watching the waves roll in from the sand bars. Thèrese’s love of music was legendary and she could sing “Landslide” by Stevie Nicks on demand. Thèrese also had the special ability to remember everyone’s birthdates. She will always be remembered for her laugh and her forgiving nature. Thèrese will be sadly missed by parents Roger and Claudette Richard, siblings Robert Richard (Monica Richard), Maurice Richard, Lisette Richard (Chris Collins), Denise Richard Furze, Nadine Richard (Lenny Zapliteney) and nieces and nephews, Kevin and Kyle Furze, Chantal Richard and Kaitlyn McGrath. Thèrese was predeceased by her nephew Sean Collins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home. A Service to Celebrate Thèrese’s Life will be held in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to St. Pat’s Family Centre or an organization of the donor’s choice.
