Terrance (Terry) Anthony Cowderoy
October 20, 1954 – December 13, 2017.
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Terry recently at the age of 63.
Terry was a gentle spirit. He walked quietly among us, playing the guitar and making music, touching each of our lives. He cared about life, his family and community, and his daughter, Erin, and her family living on the west coast.
Terry immigrated to Canada as a young child with his parents, Pauline and Peter. He grew up in Ontario, alongside his sisters, Karen and Lorna. He married, had a daughter, Erin, lived on the west coast for a while. He then returned to the Newmarket community over 30 years ago.
He will be sorely missed by his father, his sisters, his daughter, and his two granddaughters, Neire and Aylin, and by his friends. He recently spent a wonderful week at a cottage in Ontario with Erin, Neire, Aylin and their father, Fernando. Many wonderful memories were made.
Terry was a talented musician who was a master at the guitar. Terry was humble and quiet about this talent he carried, but when he played his music, everyone was captured. Many people will remember Terry as a community worker and volunteer, a man who cared for children and young people, and someone who always made time for others.
The family invites people who Terry touched to celebrate his life on Saturday, January 6, 2018, 2-4 pm at the Newmarket Senior’s Meeting Place, 474 Davis Drive, Newmarket.
