Chartrand, Sylvie Aurore – With broken hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Sylvie Chartrand at the age of 47 years. Sylvie passed away in her home in Cobalt on Thursday June 16, 2016. Sylvie was born in New Liskeard on December 30, 1968 to the late Bernard Chartrand and Diane Rivard. Many will remember Sylvie as the Constituency Office Assistant for Jay Aspin. She will also be remembered as a wonderful person who was always there to help those in need. Sylvie had a deep love and care for homeless or injured cat and dogs.She would feed them and shelter them in her back yard and tried so hard to find them a home. Her family was her pride and joy, she enjoyed any time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her infectious smile will be missed by all those who knew her. Sylvie is predeceased by her father Bernard Chartrand; her grandparents: Arthur and Aurore Rivard; her uncle Gerard Rivard; her grandfather Tony Chartrand; her uncles Bert, Yvon and her aunt Lillian. She is survived by her spouse Bob Morin; her loving children Chris (Skylar) Belanger, Dereck Belanger (Madison Gervais), Brad Morin ( Veronique Lantaigne) and Hollie Morin (Andrew Warner). Sylvie is the cherished grandmother of Charlee, Journey and Saylor Belanger and Emma and Quinn Morin. Also left to mourn is her mother Diane and her husband Gerard Vachon; her brother Derek and his wife Tammy Chartrand; her two nieces Tierra and MaKenzi Chartrand as well as many extended family members. Sylvie will also be missed by her furry companion Kiesha A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday June 24, 2016 at 11:00am from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Liskeard. The family will receive friends in the church basement following the mass. In memoriam contributions to the Temiskaming Hospital campaign ‘Care close to home’ or the Barking Barn Boarding and Rescue will be gratefully acknowledged.
