Obituary
On Sunday, April 23, 2017, Stella Wacowich of Edmonton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 94 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 73 years, Henry; son, Ken (Verna); daughter, Linda (Robert) Cowherd: grandchildren: Jody (Brent), Susan, Lea and Brenda (Andrew) Choney-Thompson and Sharon Choney; also by her great-grandchildren: Brynnleigh, Eryn, and Ryley.
She was predeceased by her sister, Rose Skowronski.
Stella was born and raised in the Bruderheim area. She met and married Henry Wacowich of Opal in 1942. They raised 2 children while running a very busy mixed farm, and an active community life in Redwater. Stella’s interests were cooking, curling, photography, 4-H club leading, travel, and many more. In 1972, they retired to the city life leaving the cattle, grain, chickens and assorted pets. Stella continued to work in retail and both Stella and Henry were avid Lifetime Good Sam RV members.
