Sr. Pauline Dalton
1940-2016
Sister Pauline Dalton, CND, died peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth II
Hospital, Halifax, at the age of 76. Sister Pauline will be sadly
missed and lovingly remembered by her family and by the Sisters of the
Congregation of Notre Dame. Born in Fort Augustus, she was the
daughter of the late Thomas and Cecilia (Hughes) Dalton. She is
survived by her brother Chester Dalton (Charlotte), her sisters Thelma
Woolridge and Evelyn Gill and her sisters-in-law Marie Dalton and Emma
Dalton, as well by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is
predeceased by her brothers William, Ivan (Theresa), Arnold (Connie),
Emmett, Edward, Melvin, Frank (Dorothy) and Lawrence, by her sister
Rita McLellan and by her brothers-in-law Larry Gill, Leith Woolridge
and John McLellan. Pauline exemplified, in her various ministries,
the CND mission of Liberating Education. She spent many years
teaching in PEI schools, in diocesan and parish pastoral ministry, as
well as in several CND ministries. At the time of her death, she was
working as a Bioenergetics therapist. Resting at Belvedere Funeral
Home until Tuesday at 9:45, then to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass
at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visitation
at Belvedere Funeral Home Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
