Suddenly, with his
loving family by his side, at University Hospital on Thursday, June 8,
2017 Sam passed away in his 83rd
year. Beloved husband of Christina, with whom he just
celebrated their 50th Anniversary.
Loving father to Margie (Peter Chelonis) & Bill (Michelle
Searle). Doting « Popou » to Christina, Demetria,
Isabella & Alexandreia all of whom he adored. Dear
brother of Katina (Niko) Papamichael and brother-in-law of Eleni
& Mary. Predeceased by brothers Elias &
Nikitas. Lovingly remembered by many cherished cousins,
nieces & nephews.
Sam immigrated to
Canada in 1952 and operated several successful restaurants alongside
his brothers Elias & Nikitas in Elliot Lake, Wallaceburg,
Chatham & London. Sam could always be counted on for
his strong dependable advice & generous nature. He
was a protector and his candid sense of humour, laughter and blunt
honesty will be missed by all his friends, customers & former
employees.
Friends will be
received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371
Dundas Street, on Sunday from 6-9pm. Prayers in the Logan
Chapel at 8PM. Funeral service will be conducted in the
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 133
Southdale Rd. W., on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the Holy
Trinity Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated by the
