Emmert, Siegfried (June 26, 1930 – May 22, 2017)
Siegfried sadly passed away from complications of cancer surrounded by his loving immediate family. He emigrated from Germany in 1960 with his wife Elisabeth and made Canada their home. Siegfried enjoyed entertaining others by playing in the Waterloo Regional Police Service Band, participating in the St. Aloysius Church choir and was involved in other bands and Oktoberfest music activities. Siegfried leaves behind a loving wife of 58 years and his two daughters Caroline (John) and Clarissa. Siegfried was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Kayla, Alyssa (Jamie), Roman (Jodie), Owen, Ezra and Jayden. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Siegfried’s family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 9:20 a.m. followed by a procession to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 11 Traynor Ave., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall.
