Shirley J. McKean 1933-2016 Shirley McKean of Riverview passed away at Lakeview Manor on Friday, June 10, 2016. Born in Kouchibouquac, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Susie (Kingston) Smith. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, the Riverview Lioness Club, Pearl Rebecca Lodge #9 and the OES Fidelity Chapter #36. She will be dearly missed by her loving daughter, Peggy Doucet (Don) of Edmonton; son, Allan McKean of Baltimore, NB; grandchildren, Angela and Allison McKean and Dylan Doucet; sister Gertrude McDonald; brother, Windsor Smith and estranged brother, Adrian Smith (Evelyn); as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 2013 and a sister, Hilda. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Lakeview Manor for their wonderful care towards Shirley while she was there. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00pm with the OES Fidelity Chapter #36 holding a memorial service at 1:45pm. A service celebrating Shirley’s life will take place at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 1:00pm with Rev. Dr. Andrew O’Neill officiating. The interment will follow in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations made to Lakeview Manor would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
