Sharon passed away in the Pasqua Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mel; son Michael and his wife Kirsten; and grandsons Mitchell and Matthew. Sharon practiced her career as an educator in North Battleford, Winnipeg and Regina. She loved every minute spent in class and touched the lives of so many children. On retirement, she and Mel moved from Regina to Mission Lake where they enjoyed lake life with family. Winters were spent in the warmer climate of Arizona golfing and enjoying retirement. Her positive attitude and incredible stamina throughout her five years of cancer treatment was an inspiration to many. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. She had nothing but praise for the help and care she received at the Mayo Clinic and Allan Blair Cancer Centre. She was blessed with the support of friends and particularly the love and support of family to which she was devoted. A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE will be held in the spring.
