Sandra Gould
1937-2017
It is with sadness that we announce the
passing of Sandra Gould, age 79, of
Amherst.
Sandra passed away peacefully on November 1, 2017 at
Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, NS surrounded by her loving
family.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was a daughter
of the late Brenton and Minnie (LeBlanc) Archibald.
Sandra was devoted to her family, caring
for her children while her husband worked away. As
a family they looked forward to the weekends when they were all
together and enjoyed a good board game together and with her extended
family.
She always enjoyed Rummoli with her lady friends. A
great cook, she loved to feed her family and friends all kinds of
homemade baked goods. As
their family grew, everyone was loved and welcome. She
loved to drive about town and always enjoyed time at the
hairdressers.
She will be dearly missed by her
daughters; Julie Ripley (Steve Campbell), Halifax, NS, Marion
(Wilfred) Ross, Kingston, NS; 2 grandchildren, Chase (Rebecca) Ripley
and Taylor (Ronald) Carter; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband
George and brother Samuel Archibald.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst,
NS (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will be held on
Monday, November 6, 2017 from Noon until 2 pm, followed immediately at
2 pm by the funeral service, K. Ruth Gamble, DLM officiating.
Burial will follow in the Amherst
Cemetery.
Those wishing to make a donation in
Sandra’s memory may do so to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the
Canadian Cancer Society.
