Obituary for Salem Coolen Salem Clifford “Jr.” Coolen 86, Boutiliers Point, passed away on Friday July 29, 2016 in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Fox Point he was the son of the late Salem and Eva (Longard) Coolen. Salem was a fisherman in St. Margaret’s Bay all his adult life and Longshoreman in Halifax for many years. Survived by his wife Shirley D. (Boutilier) for 64 years; sons, Ronald, Boutiliers, Point, Raymond, (Gail), Bedford; Russell (Lori), Boutiliers Point and Richard, Dartmouth;; 3 granddaughters, Miranda, Jennifer and Malarie; 1 great granddaughter Linnea, great grandson to be born any day; sister, Marcie Joudrey, Mahone Bay. Predeceased by his brother Victor, sister, Ruby Harris, Betty Silvestri, Verna Shatford and infant siblings, Clarence, Rita and Dolly. Cremation has taken place. There will be no services or visitation. Arrangements under the direction of the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Homes.
