Ruth McCrea
1952-2017
With sadness and celebration of a life well lived, the family
of Ruth Isabel McCrea, age 65, of Shannon, NB, announces her death
which occurred on Friday, June 16, 2017 at her home with her family by
her side. Born in Sussex, NB, on January 1, 1952, she was a
daughter of the late Lawrence and Kathleen (Bostwick) McCrea. To those
she loved and leaves behind, Ruth has written these
words;
« Well
Folks, if you are reading this, I’ve gone to be with Mom and
Dad. I leave behind my brothers: Larry McCrea and James (Carola)
McCrea; my sister Susan; as well as several nieces and nephews. I
wasn’t going to mention this, but I also leave behind the
joy of my life, my cat, Walter.
My warmest thanks go out to people such as my boss
and long time friend, Frank McKenna; all of the health care
professionals who helped me through this process and, in particular,
my sister Susan, without whom I could not have done
it.
My family know that I do not want a wake or a
funeral. If you wish to remember me, please consider making a donation
to the Shannon Cemetery, your local SPCA or to the Sussex Chapter of
CARMA. »
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s
Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road,
Norton, NB. A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at a
later date, details to be announced. A private family interment will
take place in Shannon Cemetery. Personal condolences to the family and
