Obituary of Russell Renwick
Russell passed away suddenly but peacefully on Thursday, October 5, 2017 in his home east of Balgonie, SK. He was predeceased by his parents, Victor Lorne Renwick, Jessie Olive (Renwick) Curtis and step-father Edwin Curtis. He is survived by his brother Barrie Allan Renwick; his children Roxanne (Roger) Brown, Dean Renwick and Roean Renwick; grandchildren Drew Brown, Alexandria and Vincent Renwick; great-grandchildren Hunter, Bexleigh and Willow Brown; and nieces Susan and Linda Renwick. Russ spent his life working in the electrical field, first at Electric Motor Services then in the late 70’s he became a journeyman electrician. After a few unique jobs he was hired full time at the Regina General Hospital where he retired in 2007. He was fascinated with all things space and followed NASA avidly and was a strong supporter of the Canadian Military. Russ was also a long-time resident and member of Green Haven Sun Club. He built his own computers and helped to keep the kids computers operational. He was a Rider fan and was hopeful for the 2017 season in the new stadium. He hammered, sawed, plumbed and wired. He was a true “Jack Of All Trades” in a time when manual knowledge is slipping away. Public Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday October 14, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. A Day to Celebrate Russell’s Life will be held at the Green Haven Sun Club, on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Please bring along your favorite story of Russ as we will be sharing the good, the bad and the hilarious. Please contact Speers Funeral Chapel at 306-522-3232 for a map and direction to Green Haven Sun Club. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations in Russell’s name be made to your local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Russell
