Léveillé, Rosaire Joseph Damien – With heavy hearts the family announces the death of Rosaire Léveillé of Haileybury at the age of 88 years. Rosaire passed away peacefully at Tri-Town Extendicare Nursing Home, Haileybury on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Rosaire was born October 22, 1927 at Earlton to the late Angelbert Léveillé and the late Marie-Berthe Messier. He worked as a machine operator for 36 years with Ontario Northland Railway. Rosaire was a Third Degree Knight with Council 1398 and a faithful member of Holy Cross Church. He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife Cécile Léveillé who he married 62 years ago on October 23, 1954. Also missed by his children: Lise [John] Leith of Caistor Centre, André [Sharon] Léveillé of Marathon, Diane [Steven] McCarthy of North Bay, Raymond [Geraldine] Léveillé of Fort MacMurray and Paul [Shantell] of Edmonton. Fondly remembered by seven grandchildren: Eric and Jordan, Mark, Jennifer, Derek and Jessica and Nicholas; seven great-grandchildren: Devin, Lexi and Levi, Hailey, Izak, Haylee, Emilyn and Landon. Also survived by his siblings Léon Léveillé, Cécile Rivard, Antoine Léveillé, Victor Léveillé, Florence Dugas and Jean-Marc Léveillé; sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings: Thérèse Gravel, Jean-Marie Léveillé, Fernand Léveillé, Armand Léveillé, Angèle Auger and Florent Léveillé. The Léveillé family will welcome friends at Buffam Leveille Funeral Home 483 Broadway Street Haileybury, Friday, July 8, 2016 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm -9:00 pm and on Saturday, July 9, 2016 beginning at 9:00am. . Funeral mass will be celebrated from Eglise Ste-Croix /Holy Cross Church 341 Sutherland Way Haileybury at 11:00 am Saturday, July 9, 2016. Father Richard Ngoy officiating. Interment will follow at Haileybury Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Holy Cross Church will be gratefully acknowledged.
