SULLIVAN, Ronald – Mr. Ronald Sullivan at Heartwood Long Term Care, Cornwall, on Monday August 21, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of 64 years to Dorothy (née Cole) Sullivan. Loved father of Ronda Vaillancourt (Guy), Kathryn Snell (Jim), Charles “Duff” (Marla), and Peter. Sadly, missed by his 10 grandchildren Nicole Hass (John), Danielle and Kate Vaillancourt, Jared, Aaron and Shivahn Sullivan, Jennifer and Kristina Snell, Patrick and Sadie Sullivan; and also 1 great grandchild Aidan Hass. Also, fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law Shelley Sullivan. Loving son of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (née MacGregor) Sullivan. Dear brother of John Graham Sullivan. Predeceased by his brother James and his twin brother Arnold. Retiring after a long career in teaching, Ron remained very active in his community. He was 1 of the founding members of Glen Productions; instrumental in the development of the Upper Canada Playhouse; Member of the Masonic Order; and an Elder and Sunday School Teacher at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, but to name a few. Friends will be received at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 28 Second Street, East, Cornwall on Friday September 1st from 10 AM until the time of service. Funeral service will be held in St. John’s Presbyterian Church on Friday September 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Committal at a later date in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville. If so desired contributions in his memory to the Your Arts Council (c/o 2 St. Lawrence Drive, Suite 302, Cornwall, Ontario K6H 4Z1) or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
