Obituary It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Romeo Gibeau of Edmonton, at the age of 82 years. A kind and gentle man, Dad was a devoted husband and father, beloved grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, and highly respected member of the Edmonton business community as a Chartered Accountant for some 40 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Gertie (nee Meunier), their children: son Robert (Mirella) and grandchildren Vanessa and Alex; son Larry (Kerry) and grandchildren Janet (Greg) Horton, Sarah Gibeau, Debbie (Chris) Ciazynski, Linda (Ron Laverdiere); daughter Elaine (George) Campbell and grandchildren Kevin (Amanda), Laura, and Diana (Daniel Lint); son Dennis and grandchildren Jesse, Daniel, and Zachary; son Claude (Linda) and grandchildren Jacqueline (Tom Lemoine) and Rachel; 3 great-grandchildren Darren and Alex Horton and Grace Campbell; siblings Olive (Hans) Vest, Maurice (Colleen), Fernand (Barb), Eugene (Blanche) and Joe (Sue); as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Romeo was predeceased by his parents Hector and Julma Gibeau, and sisters Rita Prefontaine and Estelle Gibeau. A gathering for prayer will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, on Monday May 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew Church, 12810 – 111 Avenue on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. The family thanks the doctors and nurses of unit 4G3 of the University of Alberta Hospital for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or other charity of your choice.
