Obituary for Roland Lajeunesse
The family announces with sorrow his passing at the Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the age of 74.
Beloved husband of Micheline (née Gareau). Cherished father of Denise Lemire (Gilles) and George Lajeunesse (Claire) all of Timmins. Loving grandfather of Julia Lemire, Mathieu and Nicolas Lajeunesse. Dear brother of Lilianne Farrell (late Harold “Sonny”), Idasse Lajeunesse (Annette), Normand Lajeunesse (late Sharon), Marc Lajeunesse, Denis Lajeunesse (Lynda). Survived by his in-laws Renelle Smith (late Dave), Marie Gareau, Delia Burns (Keith). Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Lorenzo Lajeunesse and Marie-Jeanne (née Dénommé); by his sister Claudette Harris (late Dennis) by his in-laws Émile and Blanche Gareau, his sister-in-law Desneiges Blais (late Rudy).
Rolly worked for Ontario Hydro for over 30 years. He loved woodworking, spending time in his garage and building things for his family; his family was his pride and joy. Rolly was an avid reader and always kept up to date with current affairs. He will be sadly missed by all including his dear companion, his cat Mila.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 23 in the Funeral Home Chapel.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, September 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 at LESSARD-STEPHENS
