Mr. Robert A. (Bobby) Murray of Sussex passed away suddenly at the Sussex Health Centre on December 28, 2017 at the age of 78. He was born in Sussex Corner on October 22, 1939; He was the son of the late Palmer D. and Evelyn (Burns) Murray.
Bobby was very active in cadets and hockey in his younger days. He had a great passion for cars and people enjoyed being around him.
He was a simple man who loved to entertain and just do for people. He never had a negative word to say about anyone and was one of the most kind hearted men you would ever meet.
Bobby enjoyed his time spent at the cottage and the many scenic drives he took. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by numerous cousins and extended family. Bob was predeceased his long time companion Muriel Petersen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held from Penobsquis Baptist Church on Sunday, December 31, 2017 from 2-3pm, with the Celebration of Bobby’s life immediately following.
If you are considering making a memorial donation, the family has recommended the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
