Robert Templeton
1925-2016
Robert Donald Templeton, 91, of Havelock passed
away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at The Moncton
Hospital.
Born in Cambuslang, Scotland, he was a son of the
late James B. and Elizabeth (Gibson) Templeton. In his first year, his
family immigrated to Canada settling in Havelock on a farm. He
graduated from the Havelock Superior School and Moncton Community
College, Electronics program. The early death of his father saw Robert
remain on the family farm to help run it and then he established
Templeton’s T.V. Sales and Service which he operated until retirement.
Robert attended Havelock Baptist Church, was a 50 year
member of the Havelock Lions Club, a former volunteer with the
Havelock Fire Department and enjoyed salmon fishing on the Miramichi
and hunting.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 55 years
Gertrude (Beckett), his daughter Joan of Vancouver, son Kenneth of
Havelock, grandson Duncan of Vancouver. Survived also by sisters,
Elizabeth Keith (late Charles) of Havelock, Margaret Wood (late Hal)
of Fredericton, Mary Coates (late Eldon) of Shediac Cape, a brother
James (Myrna) of Sussex Corner and by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers David and John.
Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour,
19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The funeral will be held Thursday, September 22 at 2 p.m. from the
Havelock Baptist Church with Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating assisted
by Rev. Jarvis Lepper. Interment at Greenhill Cemetery,
Havelock.

Church Building Fund or a charity of choice would be appreciated by
the family.
