Robert Perrott
January 15, 1926 – June 13, 2017
God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So He put his arms around him
And whispered « Come with me ».
With saddened eyes we watched him suffer
And saw him fade away
Although we loved him dearly
We could not make him stay.
A golden heard stopped beating
Hard working hands to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He takes the « very best ».
Passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on June 13, 2017 at the age of 91 years. Son of the late Robert and Grace Perrott, loving husband for sixty years of the late Adelle Pauline (née Kropf). Dear father of Debra Perrott-Normand and her husband William Normand of Pensacola, Florida. Survived by his brother William Perrott (Audrey), his sister-in-law Katherine Frank and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert will be fondly remembered by special friends Deb and Gary and extended family and friends in Ontario, Florida and Louisiana. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Grace Perrott.
Robert enjoyed the beautiful Canadian outdoors throughout his life. He camped, skied, scuba dived, canoed and sailed. He loved gardening and maintaining his beloved home of 53 years in Waterloo. He had a terrific sense of humour and entertained friends and family with his stories and unique expressions. Robert was also a veteran of the RAF in WWII.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice, Freeport Heath Centre or Operation Smile, one of his favourites.
A memorial visitation will be held at Erb Good Funeral Home on Sunday July 30 at 3pm. Please join us and share your memories of Robert.
