Obituary
Bob’s journey with cancer has ended. Surrounded by the love of Pamela and Barbara and the amazing kindness and caring of the staff at the Palliative unit 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital, he died just before midnight on December 15, 2016.
He faced the last eleven years with grace, dignity and great courage. Bob was born to Albert Clifton and Mary Gertrude Hall in Guelph Ontario on January 17, 1951. He completed a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Alberta in 1979. Shortly after he began to work as a Research Associate at Syncrude Research Division. He was a Fellow in the Chemical Institute of Canada. He celebrated his 65th birthday and a 26th anniversary.
Bob is survived by his wife Pamela; his father-in-law Ken Warren (Sue Morrison); Pamela’s sister’s family Barbara and Lorne Gordon and their children Laird and Whitney; his cousins Doug and Cameron Reeds, and dear family friend Margaret Voice. He loved fifteen years of being boat Captain to Cat Nap I and ll on the west coast. He will be missed by friends in the boating community as well as friends and colleagues in and around Edmonton.
A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton.
