Passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 63.
Beloved husband of Rae Kowk.
Loving father of Robert Nancarrow (Brenda), Sandra Nancarrow and Andrea Kowk.
Cherished Papa of Kathleen (Rory), Rebecca (Dan) and great-papa of Sebastian and Christian.
Dear brother of Joanne Grisdale, Bill Kowk (Jane) and Kerry-Lynn Ryder (Bob).
Brother-in-law to Patricia Murphy and Ian Paterson.
Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his parents Anne and Harold Kowk.
Rick was a loyal and long time employee of the KW Record for over 40 years and past employee of Amtrol Canada for 15 years.
Rick’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the House of Friendship would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
