David Vautour
1925-2017
CAP-SAINT-LOUIS, NB – David Vautour, 92, formerly of Cap-Saint-Louis, passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Ste-Anne on Monday, December 18th, 2017. Born in Cap-Saint-Louis, he was the son of the late Joseph and Suzanne (Robichaud) Vautour. David worked as a fisherman for over fifty years and also worked at the Kouchibouguac National Park until his retirement.
David will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Yvonne Vautour (Reginald) of Moncton and Sandra Fontaine (Ernest) of Saint-Louis; his son, Arnel Vautour (Suzanne) of Moncton; four grandchildren, Mireille, Manuel, Sémida and Daniel; as well as a great grandchild, Zacharie.
David also leaves to mourn his three brothers, Arsène, Adelard (Ursule) and Josephat (Lucie), all of Saint-Louis; three sisters-in-law, Doris (late Val), Viola (late Jim) and Anna (late Joseph), all of Saint-Louis; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, David is predeceased by his wife, Doris; his three sisters, Edith Comeau, Dorina Vautour and Florida Guimond; and his nine brothers, Adelard, Val, Edmond, Alphonse, Jim, O’Neil, Joseph, infant Val and infant Augustin.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Memorial Home, Saint-Louis on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and Thursday from 9:00am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 21st, 2017 at 11:30am, Saint-Louis-des-Francais Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis. If so desired, donations to "La Grotte de Saint-Louis" or to "Le Comité d’Entraide de Saint-Louis" would be appreciated by the family.
