Age 86, of Vancouver, BC, passed away on September 24, 2016 following a stroke and having suffered with Alzheimer’s in the last number of years.

Raymond was predeceased by his sister, Cecile Peters; and is survived by his twin sister, Juanita Jackson; sister, Lyse (Joe) Ballister; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Dad entered his Commercial Artist career in the late 1940s, was a member of the CYO, and a faithful member of his church, Blessed Sacrament Parish, since the early 50s. Dad was well known in the Graphic Arts world, and enjoyed his lifelong career as a commercial artist in the lithographic trade. Raymond was a student, instructor, and then director of the Graphic Arts Union School in Vancouver and was in the Graphic Arts Union for over 60 years. Raymond’s artwork was enjoyed nationwide through his designing of the Christmas stamps for the Lung Association Christmas Seals. He also enjoyed serving as projectionist for the Carnegie Library in the 50s. When asked what his life accomplishments are he felt it was his commitment as a good provider for his family (extended as well), and was proud of his commercial artwork in the Lithographic trade.
Raymond’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the folks at Broadway Pentecostal Lodge; Dr. Terrance Reeves; the ER staff at Vancouver General Hospital including Dr.Mo Bardi and neurologist, Dr.Oscar Benevante, and the kind and compassionate care we received on 10CD. We also extend our gratitude to the Chown and ASK Adult programs.
If you so desire, donations to the Alzheimer Society of BC would be appreciated to assist in their ongoing research to combat this insidious disease.
