Conforzi, Raymond Michael
Raymond fought so hard to come back to us, but lost his battle on Tuesday November 21, 2017 in his 65th year. He will be greatly missed by his wife Susan and three children Ben, Katelynn and Josh and his mother in law, Mary Gatto. He will also be missed by many other family and friends, especially his neighbours at Wahnekewaning Beach, the place he loved with all of his heart. Pre-deceased by his parents, Urbano and Concettina Conforzi. Former teacher at St. James Catholic High School. We would like to thank the first responders in Guelph who attended to Raymond including fire, police and paramedics. A special thanks to Raymond’s brother in law Mike Gatto and Mike McCready, the owner of Stay Fit Health Centre, who stayed with Raymond and initiated the emergency response. Thank you to the Guelph General Hospital Emergency staff and the doctors and nurses in the ICU at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener for your compassionate care.
Raymond’s family will receive visitors at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Catholic Church, 45 Victoria Rd N., Guelph on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Marymount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics Ontario and Autism Canada.
