Obituary for Phyllis Kadyniuk (Cybuliak)
Phyllis Kadyniuk (nee Cybuliak)
January 25, 1923 – Pleasant Home, Manitoba
November 20, 2017 – Lindsay, Ontario Battling Alzheimer’s, Phyllis passed away peacefully after suffering a stroke in her 94th year. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Jarvis, of 71 years, daughters Bev (Larry), Debra (Jack), Heather (Denys), 5 grandchildren; Kerri (Dave), Jeff (Joanna), John (Ashley), Shawn, Jason (Genvieve) and 10 great-grandchildren; Julia, Sarah, Olivia, Ryan, Amy, Mackenzie, Carter, Liam, Ayden, and Breanna. Our Baba was the pillar of strength and we loved her sense of humour, kindness and generosity.
Born in Manitoba she and her husband moved to Ontario in 1959
where they raised their daughters in Don Mills and later settled in
the Lindsay area. Family meant everything to Mom. Her love of the Ukrainian culture was very important and she took pride in teaching her children these traditions especially her “infamous” perogies and 12 course meals at Ukrainian Christmas and Easter celebrations. Phyllis loved to garden, play Bingo, do her daily jumbo puzzle playing cards with her family and bowling until she was 92
Many thanks to all the staff at Caressant Care who looked after Mom
while in Palliative care. Their efforts were tireless, humble and sincere.
A special thank you to Dr. G. Loeb who watched over Mom these past 30 years.
