Paula Bachand (nee Downey)
June 1, 1935 – February 17, 2015
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ben (Benoit J.) in 1994, Paula is survived by her much loved children, Louise (Sylvain Raymond) of Beaconsfield, Quebec and Paul (Julie Gladu) of Oakville, Ontario. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren Ben and Olivia Raymond and Nicholas Alexandre Bachand.
Paula, a passionate Canadian, was born in Weston, Ontario and lived in Moncton, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal and Toronto prior to returning to Montreal in 2000.
The family wishes to thank all those who have conveyed their loving support during this difficult time, as well as the amazing doctors, nurses and caregivers who provided such wonderful care during Paula’s illness. A private celebration of Paula’s life took place on Friday, February 20th.
