Patricia Mary Parent (nee Mallette) With her family by her side, Patricia passed away on July 14, 2016 at Waters Edge Care Community (Formerly Leisure World), after a brief illness with Alzheimer’s and Leukemia, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Paul Parent and mother of Laurie (Robert) Miller of Callander, Jeff (Tracy) of North Bay, Keri (Marc) Taché of Callander. Loving grandmother of Tyler and Travis Miller, Ryan, Evan and Ashlyn Parent and Jasmine Taché. Patricia is predeceased by her parents Paul and Alma (Geisler) Mallette and Brother Bruce and Sister Sheila (Don Leblond). She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Barb (Robert) Belanger, Jim (Marilyn), Lorna (Greg) Jenkins, Mark (Darlene), Kathy Taillon, Maurice, Doug (Kristy). Brother and Sister in Laws, Don Leblond, Loraine (Ian) Aspinall, Annette (Gary) Kirby, Yvonne (Bill) Kowalchuk, Linda (Don) Edwards, and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Waters Edge Care Community for their care and compassion. And a special thank you also to Deacon Al Falconi for being with us during this difficult time. Patricia will be remembered by many as an owner, along with her husband Paul of Parent Door Systems ltd. of North Bay. Patricia enjoyed many things in her life, such as, her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her many winters in Florida, vacation cruising, her cottage on the French River and boating with friends and family. Visitation is being handled by McGuinty Funeral Home of North Bay, with cremation taken place. The family will receive visitors on Monday July 18, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday July 19th 2016 at 11 am.
