In his eighty-first year on November 8, 2015, Owen (Ossie) peacefully passed away at home with his beloved wife Ann Bryson. Cherished father to Carolyn (Tom), Jim (Lorri), Barbara-Ann, Jean-Marie (Greg). Adoring grandfather of Nicholas, Grace, Emily, Blue, Neil, Paul, Thea, Carter and Mitchell. Proud great grandfather to Jax. Owen enjoyed many years in Education as a Teacher and Principal. Later he became ordained as a permanent Deacon in the Catholic Church with the Diocese of Montreal. Born in Nova Scotia to the late Ida Gilles and Owen Carter. Pre-deceased by his brothers Neil, Art, Jerry and baby sister Mary. Loving brother to Mona, Margaret-Jean and Neila (Lorne). Brother-in-law to Bill (Trish) and Diane (Max). Funeral will be held on Friday November 13th at 2:00. Visitation will be at 1:00pm to 2:00pm before the service at Jesus Light of the World Parish 11075, Gouin West, Pierrefonds, H8Y 1X6 (see details at www.rideaumemorial.com). The family would like to thank the medical staff at St-Mary’s Hospital for their dedicated care to Owen. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
