Oscar Irvine Corey
Oscar Irvine Corey, 85, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at
The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, September 29, 2016. Born in Hunters
Home, he was the son of the late Tupper and Marjorie (Beach) Corey.
Oscar was the former Manager of Thorne’s Hardware in
Newcastle.
Oscar will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years, Edith
(Carter) Corey; daughter, Cheryl Ann Jebbink (Richard) of Fort
McMurray, AB; son, Michael Corey (Phyllis) of Moncton; grandchildren,
Brayden, Kara and Kalen; brother, Russell Corey (Lillian) and several
nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his
parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald and George.
A Service to celebrate and honor Oscar’s life will
be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995) on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Danny
Compton officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre
following the service. Interment will be held in Canaan Cemetery.
