Orville Clifford Jenkins
1946-2017
It is with heavy hearts the family of Orville Clifford
Jenkins, loving husband of 21 years to Pierrette (Manuel) Jenkins,
announce his passing at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing
Home on Friday, May 5, 2017 after a long, courageous battle with
Parkinson’s disease. Born on March 13, 1946 he was a son of
Alda (Arsenault) and the late Bernard Jenkins.
Before Parkinson’s disease forced him into
retirement, Orville worked for the City of Saint John as a pipe layer
for 26 years. He was an extremely organized person, especially when it
came to his closets and trunk of his car. He also had a passion for
dancing and music.
In addition to his mother Alda and wife Pierrette, Orville is
survived by his children: Robert (Jan) Jenkins, Cathy (Shaun) Cudmore,
Mike (Janet) Jenkins and Paul (Marisa) Jenkins; step children: Chris
(Joanne) Connell and Jason (Tonishia) Connell; grandchildren: Corey,
Sonya, Vanessa, Nicholas, Madison and Jenna; and four great
grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint
John, NB (634-7424). A Celebration of
Orville’s life will be held from Brenan’s
Reception Centre on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 3PM-6PM. For those who
wish, remembrances in memory of Orville may be made to the Parkinson
Society of NB.
