Porter, Ogden William – With profound sadness the family announces the death of Mr Ogden Porter on Tuesday August 08, 2017 at the age of 89 years at the Temiskaming Hospital.
Born November 21, 1927 in Wilkie, Saskatchewan he is the son of the late Fred Porter and of the late Kate Greenstock. Mr Porter was a long time dairy farmer and enjoyed reading in his spare time but most importantly he enjoyed being in the company of his family.
Predeceased by his parents and by his brother Albert Porter, he is the loving husband of Helen Porter [nee Hopkins], loving father of Kathy (Gary) Lathem and Douglas Porter. He is the cherished grandfather of Lisa Lathem, Loni (Jon) Champagne, Gregory (Nancy) Lathem, David Porter, Daniel (Jacqueline) Porter, Brittany Porter; great grandchildren Anderson and Rudy Clark, Jayla and Blake Lathem, Madilyn and Brenna Champagne, Odin and Nova Porter and Ivy Porter. Also surviving is his sister Gwladys and her husband Edward Huard as well as many friends and extended family members.
In keeping with Ogden’s wishes cremation has taken place at Lakeview crematorium, Haileybury. As expression’s of sympathy contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Haileybury and District Baptist Church.
