Norman was born on the family farm 2 miles south of Sylvan Lake. He worked hard at everything he did. Norman did some trucking, carpenter work and finally finished his working career putting in 23 years with the School Board. Norman is survived by his loving wife, Marleen; brothers, Alex (Joyce) and Eric (Hazel); sister-in-law, Verna Hallgren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many good friends. He is predeceased by his parents; sisters, Isabel, Lillian, Helen and Bessie; and by his brothers, John, Gordon and Victor A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 – 67 Street, Red Deer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
