Norbert Richard
1945-2017
SHEDIAC, NB – Norbert Richard, 72,
passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence, Shediac on Thursday,
June 29th, 2017. Born in Richibucto, he was the
son of the late Martin and Eva (Doucette) Richard. Norbert will be
remembered for his involvement with the Alcoholics Anonymous group. He
helped many people of all ages and of all parts of the province to
deal with their struggle with alcohol.
Norbert will be sadly missed by his daughter,
Nicole Richard (Thomas) of Kouchibouguac; three sons, Martin
(Charline) of Shediac, Maurice (Donna) of Aldouane and Gilbert (Mary)
of Fredericton; six grandchildren, Curtis, Brittany, Nicholas, Austin,
Ryan and Jesse.
He is also survived by
his sister Thérèse Landry (Fernand) of Ottawa,
ON; as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Norbert is predeceased by
his wife, Marguerite (Henrie); and one sister Elmire
Cail.
Honoring Norbert’s wishes, there will
be no visitation or funeral service. If so desired, donations in
Norbert’s memory made to the Alcoholics Anonymous
organisation or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the
family
