Obituary of Nora Goreham
Age 85, Halifax, passed away suddenly at home on December 13, 2017. Born in Shag Harbour, she was a daughter of the late John and Juanita (Adams) Goreham.
Nora trained as a teacher at the Normal School in Truro, NS. After she taught for a few years, she attended Mount Allison University, graduating with a certificate in Applied Arts. She worked for many years for the NS Government, teaching adult classes in silver jewelry and pewter fabrication throughout the province. In the last years she worked for the Nova Scotia Art Bank. Nora is survived by good friend Edith Hanington, Halifax; sisters, Marion (Neil) Kendrick, Shag Harbour; Jean Huskins, Maramichi, NB and one niece and four nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Arthur and Reginald. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends: Especially by Edie Hanington and all her family, particularly Rob( Mary) Hanington and their three children: Meghan, Genevieve and William.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. By request there will be no visitation or service. Interment to take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
