Nelida Richard
1945-2016
ST. IGNACE, NB – Nelida Richard 71, of St. Ignace
passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University
Hospital Center in Moncton on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
Born in St. Ignace, she was the daughter of the late Donat Richard and
late Odile (Maillet) Richard. Nelida attended St. Ignace de
Loyola Roman Catholic Church. She was a seamstress and loved
scrapbooking in her spare time.
Nelida will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Karen
Richard (Serge Godin) of St. Ignace, Cindy Boudreau (Rhéal)
of Dieppe and three grandchildren, Myriam, Justin and
Yanic.
She is also survived by four sisters, Alma Gautreau (Roger)
of St. Ignace, Aldona Daigle (Alfred) of St. Ignace, Claudette Richard
(Romeo) of St. Ignace, Micheline Fontaine (Louis) of St. Ignace; two
brothers, Aldrice Richard of St. Ignace, Aldoria Richard of Montreal,
Quebec and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Adrien Richard; special
friend, Gerald Bourque and two sisters, Marie-Louise and
Claudette.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday from 7-9 pm, Friday at 11:00 am until
departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on
Friday, December 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm, St. Ignace de Loyola Roman
Catholic Church, St. Ignace. Donations in Nelida’s
memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Georges-L.
Dumont University Hospital Center or charity of the donor’s
choice. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s
Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
