Obituary for Nel Atkinson
ATKINSON, Petronella (Nel) Maria – after a courageous battle with cancer, entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Nel (nee Vanderzwet) in her 76th year, was the beloved wife of the late Roy Atkinson. Predeceased by her children Ellie, Shelley (Cook), Jimmy Visser. Cherished grandmother of Melissa, Tyler, Ryan, Sarah and Samantha and Mikaela. Dearly remembered by her son-in-law Jeff Cook. Dear step-mother of Kim Belmonte (Pat) and Lisa Millar (David-predeceased). Dear sister of Piet (Pauline), Ben (Lori), Peter (Deb), Garry (Tina), Mary (Rick Simpson) and predeceased by her brother John (Ria), Cor (Pat) and by her infant sister Nellie. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins, many other family members and friends and by her family in Holland. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Stoddart Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205) on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and on Wednesday, January 3rd from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 P.M.
