The family announces with great sorrow the peaceful passing of Neil Harper Pryor at home on Friday June 3rd, 2016 at the age of 81 years. Beloved father to son Neil Pryor Jr., grandson Brayden “His precious little rascal,” son Perry Pryor (Tracey) and grandson Nader “Naji” of Ottawa. Brother in law to Barry (Celina) Petroski, Marion Butler of Timmins, Ronald Petroski of Oshawa, Hélène Petroski (Late Gerald /2013) of Timmins, Dorothy Bourdon (late Marcel) of Barrie, Linda (Lorne) Byers of Callander and Tim (Carole) Petroski of Manitoulin Island, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years Noralee Ann (Petroski) in 2010, father Harold Richard Pryor (1945), brother Rick Pryor (1992), wife Jean (1975), and mother Marion Pryor (2004). He was also predeceased by father-in-law Nicholas Petroski (1993) and mother-in-law Helen Petroski (2007). He was proud to be born and raised in the Porcupine Camp. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and prospector enjoying time on the Redstone River on Night Hawk Lake and at the family cottage on Horwood Lake. He will be sadly missed by his four-legged friends Justice and Liberty. He was also active within the community as a member of the Porcupine Masonic Lodge #506 and the Porcupine Prospector’s Association. Dad was also employed at a variety of mines throughout the community, beginning at Dome Mines, Equiplant, and finishing his working career as a Maintenance Planner at the Kidd Creek Met Site in 1995. The following is a poem our father penned in 1973. We the willing Lead by the unknowing Do the impossible For the ungrateful We have to do so much With so little For so long That we are capable of doing anything with nothing A private family graveside service will be held at Timmins Memorial Cemetery.
