Passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 84.
Beloved husband of Doris « Dorrie » for 61 years.
Loving father of Sally Orleman (Tim) and Kathryn Eckert (Jason).
Cherished grandpa of Kevin, Steven, Mark and Alyssa.
Dear brother of Joanne Loran (Tom) and Michael Thompson.
Survived by his brothers-in-law John Ellis (the late Dorothy) and Douglas Ellis (Diane), sister-in-law Catherine Neilson (the late Burton) and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sisters Doreen Fountain (Bill) and Joyce Owen (Neil) and sisters-in-law Loretta Bendle (Ioan) and Marie Jordan (Bill).
Murray was a sales representative for Gilbey’s Distillery for 34 years.
Murray’s family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 p.m.-1:15 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, immediately following the visitation, at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
The family would like to thank the staff at the Sunnyside Saturday Day Program and the staff at Freeport (Palliative Care Unit) for their kindness and compassionate care.
