Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Barbara for 62 years. Loving father of Leanne (Jim Bergsma), Cynthia (Alton Wilson), Scott, and Sheryl (John Cowles). Much loved Papa to Melissa, Matthew, and Skylar. Survived by his siblings Donald, Ann, Gail, Douglas, and predeceased by his brother Jim. Lifetime member of the Welland County Motorcycle Club, AMA, and CVMG. He will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends.
Murray’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2 – 4 p.m. & 7 – 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 and from 2 – 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 where a Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital ICU or St. Mary’s Hospital Cardiac Care Unit would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
