Mildred «Babe» Doris Fraser
Mildred «Babe» D. Fraser, 93, of Moncton,
just eight days short of her 94th birthday,
with her loving family by her side, passed away peacefully at The
Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Born in Moncton, she
was the daughter of the late Allan and Leah (Tilbert) Murray.
For many years, Babe was well known for baking, especially
cakes for weddings, birthdays and graduations. She also catered to the
AJM School of Nursing graduations, weddings and Dance-O-Rama for many
years. She was a member and Past Supreme Representative of Tidal Wave
#16 Phythian Sisters, Riverview and was Past Badge Secretary and
District Commissioner for Girl Guides, a member and Past Noble Grand
of Pearl Rebekah Lodge #9 and a member of Saxby Temple #35 Pythian
Sisters, Riverview.
She loved cooking and enjoyed doing word puzzles, embroidery,
crafts, watching hockey, figure skating, curling and her favourite TV
programs.
Babe will be sadly missed by her children, Myra Fraser (late
Warren) of Moncton, Harris (Sonny) Fraser (Peggy) of
Harcourt, Barbara LeBlanc (Pat) of Ottawa, ON, Katherine Baiani (late
Mike) of Moncton, Darlene Thorne (Shawn) of Moncton and
Stuart Fraser, at home; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one
great great grandson and many nieces, nephews and extended family
members. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
husband, Harris T. Fraser (October 1980); daughter, June Smith;
sisters, Lillian, Helen, Gladys and Hilda; brothers, Robert and Cecil.

number of hardships to live a good and happy life. I was gracious and
elegant to the very end.»

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to
celebrate and honour Mildred’s life will be held at
Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:00
pm, with Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Reception to follow in the
Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment will be in Fair Haven
Memorial Gardens.
In memory of Babe, donations to the Arthritis Society,
Greater Moncton SPCA or a memorial of the donor’s choice
