Melvin Lloyd Jordan
1932-2017
Melvin L. Jordan of Lower Queensbury, NB passed away March 26, 2017 at
York Care Centre. Melvin was born at Lower Queensbury, NB in 1932, a
son of the late Clarence and Kathleen (Kelly) Jordan. He was employed
for several years with Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical in Ontario until his
retirement in 1987 when he returned to New Brunswick to care for his
mother until her death in 2005. Melvin enjoyed nature, hunting and
fishing, visiting friends and attending community events.
He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Allen of Fredericton, NB; nieces
and nephews, Sandra Foster (David), Susan Allen, David Clark (Anne),
Paul Clark (Diane) and Linda Clark; a brother-in-law Kenneth Clark of
Saint John, NB; a special friend and neighbor, Joan Edwards and
several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Melvin was predeceased by a sister, Greta
Clark and a nephew, Andrew Allen.
Although there will be no visiting hours, friends are welcome to
attend a funeral service to be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585
Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2 p.m. with
Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. A reception will follow at the
funeral home. Interment will be later at Mactaquac Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Melvin, the family
has suggested the Mactaquac Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
The family wishes to thank the staff of York Care Centre ‘Tower
One’ for the excellent care extended to Melvin for the last days
of his life.
