Maurice Beaver

Beaver, Maurice Rainey— Knowing that he was greatly loved, and with profound sadness, the family announces the passing of Maurice Beaver in his 87 year, at the Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2016. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Pauline (Lussier) Beaver for 55 years. Maurice was the loving father of David and his wife Jeanette, Anne Bouwman and her husband Kevin, Stephen Beaver and his wife Anita, and Chris and his partner Rachelle. He was the proud Papa of Rachael, Jonathan, Kyle, Lindsay, Nicholas, Ellen Shayne, Kayla, Erika, and Layne. He was the dear brother of Gladys Sime (Don), Albert Beaver (Paula), Bob Beaver (Carol), Joyce Bennet (Trevor), Eileen Bartels (Bill), and Margie MacDonald (The late Orland). Survived also by many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. Maurice will be fondly remembered by Dana Beaver. Maurice was born in Lisburn, Ireland, and raised in Preston, Ontario. He was employed with the Toronto Dominion Bank for 40 years. Maurice truly was a Gentle Man. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
