Obituary Our beloved sister Maureen passed peacefully in her sleep on November 22, 2015. Maureen was born in Edmonton on May 27, 1943, the first of six children of Frank and Delle. Predeceased by her parents and sister Sharon, Maureen is survived by siblings, Michael, Patricia, Sean and Kelly (Mary-Jane). Maureen graduated with an Arts degree in history from the University of Alberta, and then completed executive secretarial training at the Katherine Gibbs School for Women in New York City. For over two decades she worked at the Edmonton Metropolitan Regional Planning Commission. Maureen was devoted to her family, with a special love for all of her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was proud of her family’s Irish heritage and cherished all family gatherings, especially St. Patrick’s Day. Her Christmas letter, which yearly chronicled family happenings in unvarnished but loving clarity, will surely be missed, as will her quiet, mischievous sense of humour. A Funeral Liturgy celebrating Maureen’s life will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Connelly-McKinley Funeral Chapel, located on the grounds of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Cemetery, 4820 Meridian St. NW, Edmonton, Alberta. (Meridian Street can only be accessed heading SOUTH on Hwy 216 (Anthony Henday); – the access is 1 km south of the Sherwood Park Freeway on Hwy 216.)
